Pssst! Bernie? Tad? Jeff? Hello?!
Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver said as recently as Wednesday that the campaign does not yet have a date for when to release the Medicare-for-all plan.
Which is what he and Tad Devine have been saying for months now.
Yet the very next day, Bernie said this:
Asked when he would release details of how his plan would be paid for, Sanders first said, "the truth is we already have a plan," referencing his 2013 proposal for expanding Medicare, but later said, "certainly before Iowa."
C’mon, Team Bernie. You can’t have it both ways.
You can’t blow off the various critiques of Sanders’ 2013 bill — the one not even Elizabeth Warren will co-sign — by saying that it’s not The Plan, even as Bernie says that it is.
I’ve given up on honesty from the likes of Tad Devine and Jeff Weaver, but consistency would be nice.
